I have not made it over to the fair to take photos. I guess I'll have to take them on Monday when I go to pick things up. It was hot today and I really can't afford to spend the admition fee to get in and then buy a disposable camera to take the photos. I am having a hard time with money and have gotten behind on bills which doesn't help. I have been having to rely on credit cards and that makes it worse. I'm really in a fix. It doesn't help that Sarah's father hasn't given me any child support but Sarah says he always is buying lots of groceries. Travis is continuing to enjoy his job but did not enjoy his first paycheck! He only got paid $36 dollars and was so mad. He thought that was all he was getting a week. We called and they said their pay period ended that day and he was only paid one day. So he will get more than that next week!
I picked some nice zucchini and a little squash. I need to get a recipe for zucchini bread and also make up some of my summer pasta sauce. I saute zucchini, yellow squash, onions, a little garlic and add it to chunky tomato sauce or stew tomatos and put it over pasta. Not much else going on... as usual!
p.s. Daisy is also doing good in her new home!

Hope that things improve for you really soon and also that your new relationship works out.
I think most of us are having money issues right now! I know how you feel. Have a good weekend.

Money is pretty tight here also. It's a shame that Sarah's dad won't live up to his responsibility. I hope this relationship works out for you. Glad that Daisy has got a good home. Helen
Over here in the UK people are having to tighten their belts, I think the money situation is a worldwide thing. I'm glad you met someone who seems nice, I hope it'll work out for you. Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
Poor Travis. In a way the low amount will give him the incentive to check his pay stubs & ask questions when he doesn't think the numbers are correct. di dyou knkow we can't grow Zuchchini or squash here? The leaves are too fragile, they just fry in the heat. As a result we pay $1.29-2.50 per lb. Can you beilieve that. Gosh when I lived in NY, people gave them away. And sometimes there wwere so many that they couldn't be given away. I cook my Zucc's the same way...Yummy!
hugs, Bethe
Is your state not aggresive in pursuing deadbeat dads for money? In Texas I know if you can find out where he is working, you can put a call in and have garnishment of wages. Don't be too proud to check out a food closet or some other place. God bless you all. Sounds like Travis is going to end up with a pretty good paycheck on his full week. - Barbara
I think everyone is having issues with money problems ~ I hope yours arn't too bad ~ and Sarah's father pays the child support ~ here it is taken of of their wages so the Mothers don't have any problems ~ which is how it should be ~ Hope your new romance works out for you ~ Ally x
Tough times for all...I just dont see how a lot of people are making it at all. Everyone is stretched so tight. Kelly
Too bad Sarah's dad doesn't help you out. Our state is pretty tough on collecting from parents like that. Oh poor Travis, I bet he was ticked off...well next paycheck will be much better.
