Big day at Daytona

While I didn't watch the race from the start, I did watch the end and knew this was going to happen.  Dale Jr. got taken out in an earlier wreck and this was the grand finale.  With 3 laps to go on a re-start, the winner is!

Kevin Harvick by a nose, edging out Mark Martin to win.

Meanwhile chaos ensued behind them....

Alot of cars were taken out here and Clint Bowyer finished upside down and on fire!

Gotta love NASCAR!

This is a good reminder for drinking and driving!

On to other news:  No museum again yesterday.  My b/f Dave was having trouble managing his blood sugar.  It was very high and refused to come down.  He has an insulin pump.  He tried everything but it was only down in the 300's last I talked to him.  Sarah and I had dinner over at his house with his family.  Dave is on disability and rents from his folks.  His son lives with him too.  He is 15 and named Michael.  We are going to try and go to the museum Friday.  They are having some type of flower expo there.  Ok gotta go get ready for work.  Another long week coming up.  Kids are out of school this week for Winter recess.     Linda

OOOps, I see I made a mistake in the boyfriend and the ex boyfriend's name. I am so so sorry. I myself never cared for racing but my Dad loved it. Every time I see racing on TV I think of him. Bet the kids are glad to be out of school this week. To bad it is still so cold they can't injoy getting outside very much. Hope the BF feels better. Sometimes drinking a good bit of water helps to bring the sugar down but I am sure he already knows this. Helen
