My Saturday

I titled this my Saturday, but something happened on Friday that I would like to share.  I had mentioned to one of my co-workers (who happens to be very paranoid), that Sarah had a couple nits in her hair.  She took it upon herself to report it to either my supervisor or the Assistant director of nursing, who in turn mentioned it to the Employee health nurse who then called me at home and gave me a 5 minute lecture on head lice!  Needless to say I was totally humilitated and angry!  A personal issue that I am trying to deal with didn't need to be exposed like that.  Yes I understand the concern with me possibly having head lice, but I didn't to my knowledge and had treated myself also.  They think I am going to start an outbreak at work.  What a bunch of buttheads!

Anyhow....  Scott came over last night and worked on my moped and it seems to be running pretty good.  I am going to try to remember to get it registered so that I can start riding it!  I'm going to ask for an escort vehicle first to make sure I don't get stranded somewhere.  He saw 5 deer on the side of the road on the way home yesterday.  He goes over a mountain road and really doesn't like it.  OK well time to get ready for work.  Linda

I would have been furious too!  They are so many busybodies around who love to make things difficult for others.  You have treated the lice, end of problem.  Try not to let it get to you.

Guess it would be best just to keep mummm about your personal doings at work. People can be catty at times. Hugs, Helen

For one thing...Lice are not as big of a problem as once thought.  They can't hop because they don't have hind legs, they can't fly...no wings.  So the ONLY way to catch it from someone else is to be in direct contact.  Does she plan on hugging you or using your comb?  If not then she has nothing to worry about!  Some people are just so lame.  They even say now that the stuff used for treating lice is dangerous and shouldn't even be used as a "just in case".   And your house should not be treated either...only vacuumed.  Throwing stuff in either washer or dryer for 30 min is suppose to be enough to kill them.  Oh man I would be ticked at that person!  lol

WELL GUESS YOU KNOW WHO YOUR FRIENDS ARE AT WORK NOW, HUH? THAT PERSON WAS SO UGLY TO DO THAT TO YOU...BUT THEN AGAIN I THINK ALL JOBS HAVE AT LEAST A FEW A-HOLES AS A JOB REQUIREMENT.
LOVE YA,
CARLENE

How awful for your co-worker to make an issue about the lice....I would give her an earful.  That is just wrong in my opinion, she should have just dealt with you if she was concerned.  Good idea on having an escort at first.
